UK/Europe: unaccompanied trailer service started
DSV is introducing a full load unaccompanied trailer service between UK and Germany, Central/Eastern Europe. The haulage operation both in the UK and within Europe will be provided by DSV’s own fleet of tractor units.
The service will be launched in phases, predominantly covering full load movements in phase one with part load and groupage solutions being offered in phase two. DSV’s driver in UK will collect and drop the trailer at the port for export, where it will be shipped by ferry to Europe.
Once on the quay, one of DSV’s European based tractor units will collect the trailer and deliver to the final destination. The import operation will be conducted as above but obviously in reverse. (ben)
