UK logistician completes a decade of growth
It’s been ten years now since the transport entrepreneur Andrew Baxter acquired the Europa Worldwide Group, which today is one of the UK’s largest independent logistics providers. In August 2013 the company had 400 employees in nine UK branches and one site overseas, in Hong Kong. Today, these figures have grown to 1,400 people working at 30 sites, and turnover has topped GBP 302 million, an increase of 400%.
Europa Road acquired the Belgian unaccompanied trailer operator Continental Cargo Carriers in 2018, and further boosted its growth in the Benelux region by later adding groupage services in Oostende (Belgium) and a site in Rotterdam (Netherlands).
Baxter looked ahead on the tenth anniversary of his acquisition. “Now I’m looking forward to entering our second decade of growth.”
