UAL feels the wind beneath its wings

Against the backdrop of the oil & gas industry’s recuperation, the carrier Universal Africa Lines (UAL) recently witnessed a special event – three of its vessels, the “UAL Cologne, UAL Houston and the Lieke” were in the port of Antwerp (Belgium) at the same time.

UAL, one of the major service providers to West Africa, operates direct liner services from Europe and the USA to West Africa with its own fleet of heavylift geared, tween deck vessels, carrying breakbulk, special/project cargoes, dry and reefer containers. The transit times are competitive.

The UAL Alliance also offers the K-5 oil centre in Equatorial Guinea as a local distribution hub with free zone status, and feeder vessels and local coverage through its own offices in West Africa. (kd)
