TXL to boost intermodal services in Turkey
TX Logistik is planning to further expand its intermodal railfreight services between Istanbul (Turkey) and Cologne (Germany). The connection was launched in June 2022.
A traction partner runs the route between the Halkali Terminal in Istanbul and Curtici in Romania three times a week. In Curtici, these units are then taken over and transferred to TX Logistik’s own intermodal connection Cologne – Curtici, which it currently operates with seven round trips per week.
In response to growing demand, TXL is planning to increase the number of departures within Turkey as from 2023, when it will also deploy the Nikrasa transhipment system to improve its services.
The company will present its further plans at the Logitrans exposition which will take place in Turkey from 16 to 18 November 2022. (ben)
