Two round trips between Tokyo and Alibaba's cave
All Nippon Airways (ANA) is operating two freighter round trips between the airport of Hangzhou (HGH), home of Alibaba, and Tokyo (NRT).
The B767F service (50 t capacity) is provided in response to increased demand for transportation services with the growth of cross-border e-commerce and aims to support the global supply chain network by enabling shippers to move goods such as electronic devices to North America and Europe.
Toshiaki Toyama, ANA EVP and ANA cargo president: "We understand that air transportation represents a vital link in the global supply chain, and it is encouraging to watch our network grow as the economy begins to recover."
The first flight departed yesterday, 20 June 2021, and is expected to return today. The second round service is scheduled for 27/28 June. (ah)
