Two new northern routes by the end of the year
From today, 3 December 2019, Air Senegal is offering daily flights between its home base in Dakar and Casablanca, Morocco’s largest airport. While the intra-African route will use A319 aircraft, the new, three-weekly connection from Dakar – Marseille (France) – Barcelona (Spain) – Dakar that is due to start on 12 December will be operated by the second A330-900 belonging to the young airline, which intends to use these wide-body carriers for transatlantic flights as well in future.
The new services marks the West African airline’s development from a point-to-point into a hub & spoke network that offers connections from Dakar to Abidjan (Ivory Coast), Bamako (Mali), Conakry (Guinea) and Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso) within two hours. Air Senegal also runs an A330 service to Paris-CDG. (ah)
