Two for a special site in the Netherlands
The Dutch ministry of defence contracted Rhenus Warehousing Solutions Netherlands for the construction of a centralised logistics centre at the site of the Kamp Soesterberg military barracks to better support logistics operations for land-based systems.
The 37,800 sqm Logistics Centre Soesterberg (LCS) will provide flexible storage and handling of defence equipment through automated solutions.
The partners will jointly operate and develop the building, the logistical facilities and the surrounding outdoor space. According to the current schedule, construction will start in Q1/2024, and the site will come into operation in Q2/2025. (sh)
