Two big Gulf carriers also go for "Releye"
After United Cargo earlier this month, two Gulf carriers have also approved the use of Envirotainer's new "Releye" container. Customers across the global network operated by Emirates Skycargo, the freight division of Dubai-based Emirates airline, can now utilise the solution offering features including fully integrated live monitoring for shipping temperature sensitive commodities.
"Such an innovation is the need of the hour, especially in these uncertain times of the pandemic", says Guillaume Halleux, chief officer cargo at Qatar Airways, which also adds the device to its range of temperature-controlled containers. The Doha-based carrier has been offering customers Envirotainer’s RAP and RKN active pharma containers since 2014, and now proposes 16 temperature-controlled container leasing options. (ah)
