Two A350s packed with relief goods
Ethiopian Airlines and Airbus transported humanitarian goods on board two new Airbus A350-900s, delivered to the East African carrier on 6 November 2020. The humanitarian shipment took off from Toulouse for Addis Ababa loaded with approximately 5 t of cargo, consisting of medical and IT equipment.
The goods will support the work of the federal ministry of health in Ethiopia and the Pablo Horstmann Foundation, which runs a children's hospital in Ethiopia.
Ethiopian Group CEO Tewolde GebreMariam said that his airline "is committed to social responsibility. We ferry humanitarian shipments as part of our initiative to give back to society. This humanitarian aid we carried with the delivery of the two new Airbus A350-900 aircraft is an extension of our social commitment." (ah)
