Turkish Cargo starts Covid-19 vaccine transport
Turkish Cargo has carried seven active cooling containers packed with Covid-19 vaccines, manufactured in China, to Brazil, from Beijing to São Paulo via Istanbul (17,000 km).
By shipping pharmaceuticals to key destinations such as Amsterdam, Basel, Brussels, Dubai, London, Mumbai and Singapore, the Iata CEIV Pharma credited carrier has created a global pharma corridor between more than 400 destinations, ready for transporting the vaccines.
Even higher standards for pharmaceutical shipments are soon to be achieved with the certificated dedicated operation areas that Turkish Cargo expects with the launch of "SmartIST", its new facility located at its IST hub, covering 340,000 sqm for an annual handling capacity of +4 million t of cargo, including 2,100 sqm of temperature-controlled space.
