Turkish Cargo: Sputnik-V doses from Serbia
Turkish Cargo has delivered more than 35,000 doses of Covid-19 vaccines produced in Serbia as a donation for African countries, from Belgrade to Tunisia and Lebanon.
The vaccines, which were specially packaged and loaded on the aircraft with the Lifo (last in first out) method, were delivered to the officials after having been successfully transported to Tunis and Beirut.
Since the start of the vaccine distribution, Turkish Cargo has carried over 200 million vaccine doses, which is approximately one million kg, from the vaccine production centres to destinations in its global network, representing over 500 flights.
The Turkish flag carrier, which holds the Iata CEIV Pharma certificate, shipped the vaccines to key and certificated destinations such as Baku, Copenhagen, Mexico City, Miami, Rome and Sao Paulo, creating a global corridor between more 400 destinations. (ah)
