Turkish Cargo returns to Maastricht
Turkish Cargo has resumed operations at Maastricht Aachen airport (MST) with a twice-weekly Quito–Miami–Maastricht–Istanbul service.
The route transports flowers, perishables and general cargo, supported by MST’s fast customs clearance as an AEO-certified hub. “Our specialised in-house cargo hub was chosen for its fast and efficient service,” said Dean Boljuncic, head of commercial development at MST. “We’re proud to welcome Turkish Cargo back.”
The airport’s location near major highways and its rapid handling ensures that flowers are trucked to the world’s largest flower auction in Aalsmeer within two hours of landing. MST, which received an excellence award from Turkish Airlines in 2023, aims to grow volumes steadily in 2025 with its slot-free operations and flexible cargo services. (ah)
