Turkish Cargo integrating its virtual workforce
Turkish Cargo is continuing its journey to the future by integrating robotic process automation into its business processes that can minimise errors. In an initial phase the robots Alpha, Bravo, Charlie and Delta will go live. Bravo will be in charge of spot rate approvals, Charlie of checking the mail rate, designations and duplications thereof, and Delta be in charge of checking bookings. Alpha will harmonise interaction between the group.
By making use of technology in its business processes, the carrier expects to have the capacity to carry 4 million t of cargo a year. On top of this, its ‘SmartIST’ digitally-equipped facility under construction at Istanbul airport (IST) has been being designed to be dominated by industry 4.0, AI technologies and digitalised processes.
