Seven years after having been appointed Chief Cargo Officer at Turkish Airlines, Turhan Özen has decided to leave the corporation. He handed over the baton to Ali Türk (photo) on 1 January 2024.

A graduate from Istanbul Technical University's department of industrial engineering, where he also completed an executive MBA programme, Türk began his career in 1999 and worked for Başak Hayat Insurance, Ülker Group of Companies and Ceva Logistics. He joined Turkish Airlines in 2011, becoming head of cargo in 2012.

In May 2016, Türk moved to Turkcell, and from March 2017 to December 2023, he was deputy general manager of SCM at Turkcell and its group companies, responsible for procurement, logistics, leasing, contract data management, transition rights, construction, and real estate processes. (ah)
