Truck conversion to green drives well on track
In the commercial vehicle segment, the retrofit business is booming due to growing demand for truck conversions to zero-emission drives. Quantron generated sales of EUR 10 million in 2021, an increase of 500% compared to 2020. Among other things, the company delivered 30 zero-emission vehicles to Swedish furniture retailer Ikea alone last year.
For 2022, Quantron is targeting a retrofit order volume of 400 vehicles. This corresponds to total sales of between EUR 50 million and EUR 60 million.
Together with partners such as Ballard Power Systems and fuelling station providers, Quantron is also planning an offensive to spread the use of hydrogen-powered commercial vehicles in North America and Europe this year. (ben)
