Trois-Rivières managed 2021 well
Canada’s Trois-Rivières Port Authority (TRPA) has reported its 2021 results. The port, located at the confluence of the Saint-Maurice and Saint Lawrence rivers, welcomed 217 vessels, recorded cargo traffic of 3.9 million t and achieved a net profit of CAD 3.88 million (USD 3 million). Gaétan Boivin, president and CEO of the Port of Trois-Rivières thanked the handlers G3 Canada, Groupe Somavrac, Logistec and QSL for their efforts.
The port is also investing in the expansion of its connections and facilities. Besides the Terminal 21 project, TRPA announced a road corridor project to ensure the smooth passage of HGVs transporting oversized cargo. With financial support from Canada Economic Development, this corridor will link the industrial port area and the port, particularly for industries specialising in the manufacture of very large parts.
