Trieste - Nuremberg shuttle with two roundtrips per week
The port of Trieste will introduce a new rail service linking Trieste (Italy) with the Nuremberg hub in northern Bavaria (Germany). The service will go on stream at the end of July with two trains per week, and circulation will increase by the end of 2019.
The rail service will be known as Trinur, after the initial letters of Trieste and Nuremberg. The service builds upon a longstanding collaboration with DFDS, a Danish group that serves as a facilitator for the development of intermodal transport services for the Trieste logistics system.
Initially, Trinur will link Trieste's Pier V with Nuremberg's Tricon pier, managed by the "Bayernhafen" group. (ben)
