Transnatur and Transway's second service
The Iberian freight forwarder Transnatur and Transway Logistics, its long-standing agent in Cyprus, have launched a new connection from the Port of Barcelona to Limassol in Cyprus.
This consolidated groupage service will complement the link that the companies jointly operate from the Port of Castellón. Transnatur and Transway Logistics have been in partnership for 13 years now.
The new offer addresses shippers in Northern Spain (e.g. from Aragón, La Rioja, País Vasco and Navarra). Weekly departures from Castellon Port are on Tuesdays, with a transit time of six days. In the other direction, vessels sailing from Barcelona Port on Fridays take ten to twelve days.
Transnatur confirms that - despite its longer transit time - this service is more economical and provides shippers with another alternative. As a hub in the East Med, Cyprus offers good transhipment opportunities. (sh)
