Transgourmet’s electric fleet growing
Transgourmet Switzerland is expanding its electric truck fleet with the recent addition of a Renault Trucks ‘D Wide E-Tech 4x2’, based at its regional centre in Kriens.
The company, which runs eleven logistics centres and a fleet of 300 vehicles, prioritises high environmental standards in its supply chain, according to Renault Trucks. After winning a European tender, Renault Trucks now has 46 vehicles in Transgourmet’s fleet.
Twelve fully-electric trucks are currently in action, supporting regional deliveries. All Transgourmet locations are equipped with fast-charging infrastructure. The new ‘D Wide E-Tech’ unit, featuring driver assistance systems, is tailored for refrigerated food transport. (js)
