Transco concludes takeover
Medium-sized Transco Group, which has its operational headquarters in Singen (Germany), has acquired Rüsselsheim-based carrier Mainsped Banse. All the approximately 100 employees will transfer to the new company.
The purchase was carried out in the form of an asset deal by holding company Transco Suisse. The acquired company will continue to operate as Transco Mainsped.
In addition to the employees, the new company will also take over the rolling stock, including more than 100 trailers.
Ralf Ossenbühl and Thomas Banse, former managers of Mainsped Banse, hold a minority stake in the new company. Ralf Ossenbühl manages the company's business, Thomas Banse is an authorised signatory.
The acquisition of Mainsped is the largest corporate purchase in the history of Transco Group, which had around 600 employees before the takeover. The parties agreed not to disclose the purchase price. (sh)
