Transatlantic biking to Europe
While there is a serious shortage of bikes and their spare parts in Europe, Super 73, a designer and manufacturer of electric bikes based in the USA, has awarded Geodis a three-year contract to cover logistics services in Europe and the Middle East.
The freight forwarder's responsibilities include customs brokerage, warehousing, value-added services (for instance the attachment of seats) and European distribution to retail outlets and consumers and export shipments to the Middle East and Africa, from multiple Geodis facilities in Europe.
The Super 73 brand is well established in the USA and is quickly gaining popularity in Europe and the Middle East. For this project, Geodis is combining the group’s contract logistics, freight forwarding and distribution & express services and integrating them on a single online platform (Iris). (sh)
