Train to connect Baltics and Central Europe
LTG Cargo in Poland is opening a new intermodal train route between Poland and Lithuania. The direct trail will connect Slawkow (Poland) and Kaunas (Lithuania) in both directions twice a week.
The first train will depart already this week, on 16 February 2023. It can carry up to 44 containers along the 740 km long new route, proving an attractive option for many businesses looking to transport goods between Baltic region and Central Europe.
Railfreight is safe, reliable, and offers an affordable and convenient way to transport goods. Customers from Baltics can now reach Southern Poland by rail more efficiently while reducing their CO2 emissions and contributing to traffic safety, the carrier said. (ben)
