Torben Seebold joins HHLA board

The supervisory board of Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA) selected Torben Seebold as a new executive board member, with effect from 1 April 2019.

Seebold, who was previously national chairman of the maritime economy group of Germany’s trade union ver.di, succeeds labour director Heinz Brandt. The latter will leave the German service provider at his own request when he retires at the end of March.

Berthold Bose, supervisory board vice-chairman, pointed out: “In his previous post at ver.di, Seebold gained a wealth of experience in personnel matters. He is an experienced negotiator, who has led negotiations on important labour agreements with the Association of German Seaport Operators. Thanks to his work as maritime coordinator for ITF Germany, he also has an excellent international network.” (mw)
