Toowoomba's big points
Toowoomba Wellcamp Airport (WTB), the home of Queensland’s only dedicated B747-8F international freighter service, operated by Cathay Pacific Cargo, attracts cargo-only passenger aircraft services.
After Cathay Pacific's arrival with a B777 widebody last Sunday, 14 June 2020, the airport located 150 km West of Brisbane, is going to welcome Singapore Airlines for their inaugural landing today, 19 June.
Queensland premier and minister for trade Annastacia Palaszczuk said that the flight, which is under the federal international freight assistance mechanism, was a tremendous opportunity for the region’s exporters in testing times: "These flights are critical for getting Queensland’s high quality agricultural produce on dining tables and into supermarkets and restaurants in key global markets."
