Toll: two footholds in Poland
Toll Global Forwarding has opened two new branches in Poznan and Krakow in Poland. Based in Australia, the logistics provider has a workforce of 16,000 and operates in 150 countries. The expansion will improve its access to markets in Eastern Europe and the Baltics.
Toll previously managed the requirements of its Polish customers through an agent. With the hubs in Poznan and Krakow, it can now commit to the local markets and demands.
Steve Whittingham, executive vice president of Emea, Toll Global Forwarding: “Having experienced the global supply chain instabilities of the past years, international businesses are diversifying their sourcing to restore stability and resilience. For the Emea region, Poland is a viable near-shoring option.” The sites came on stream on 1 February 2024. (mk)
