Toll Group moves to new facility
Just before the light shutdown struck the Netherlands, Toll Global Forwarding's activities in Rotterdam were moved to their new premise in Waalhaven. Major improvements are "more space, improved operational efficiency and a more extensive service package," as Arjan-Olivir van der Woning, vice president, the Netherlands, Toll Global Forwarding, said.
Waalhaven is centrally positioned in Rotterdam's maritime cluster, close to industrial areas where shippers are located and connected to key road networks. The new facility offers 4,200 sqm of bonded warehousing and is also fitted out with energy-efficient solutions such as solar panels, smart lighting and room-specific climate control.
Toll's presence in the Netherlands also includes an office at Schiphol-Rijk, from where airfreight activities are coordinated. (sh)
