Three roundtrips to link Paris region and Novara
Expanding its European network, Geodis has launched a road-rail solution linking the Paris region with northern Italy. The new service offers an alternative to road transport between Noisy-le-Sec in France to Novara in Italy.
On a booked path, Geodis operates three rotations per week with a loading capacity of 240 intermodal transport units (ITU) per week. This office saves up to 75% in greenhouse gas emissions, the French multimodal transport operator said.
The intermodal solution includes deliveries to or from France for packaged products, liquids or powders, hazardous materials or waste. A single loading unit is used from the sender to the recipient (swap bodies, box containers and tanks). (ben)
