Three more STS container cranes for Hamburg
After the delivery of two ship-to-shore (STS) cranes in 2015 and three in 2017, Liebherr Container Cranes has sold three large dual trolley STS container cranes once again to Hamburger Hafen und Logistik (HHLA). They will be operated in HHLA’s Container Terminal Tollerort.
This new order is announced as a "significant milestone" in the longstanding partnership between the European port equipment manufacturer and HHLA.
The cranes have a safe working load of 75 t twin lift at an outreach of 61 m, lift height of 53 m, back reach of 24.5 am and a span of 35 m, which will enhance operational safety, maximise productivity, and optimise operations at the container terminal.
The cranes operate with significantly reduced greenhouse gas emissions. Liebherr Container Cranes has gained a gold medal in sustainability from Ecovadis, and HHLA's CTA terminal is the world's first certified climate-neutral container handling facility. (lh)
