Three countries, one hub
Panattoni is planning to build a new triborder city dock in the border triangle between France, Germany, and Switzerland. The hub will be in Huningue (France), just 3 km from Basel’s city centre.
Valued at EUR 65 million and with four buildings totalling 40,000 sqm, the hub is intended to be used by a variety of tenants as a flexible business park solution with multi-activity spaces. Units of between 5,000 and 20,000 sqm will be available for rent. From Basel, trade routes can be accessed by road, the Rhine River port and the city’s international airport.
Building on the site of a former pigment and dye manufacturing plant, Panattoni will make sustainability a priority by integrating photovoltaic panels and a high energy performance in the design. The real estate developer is thus targeting a Breeam ‘Excellent’ certificate and a BiodiverCity certification. Construction is set to begin in 2025, with completion expected in 2026. (mk)
