Thirteen replacements and two newcomers

UK haulier Majors Service has put its first new trucks into operation, taking delivery of 15 Volvo FH with I-Save Unlimited Edition 6x2 tractor units.

The Wolverhampton-based business has always used second-hand vehicles since it was established 24 years ago. However, the firm decided to opt for new trucks for its latest order having weighed up the fuel-saving potential and strong driver focus of the Volvo FH with I-Save Unlimited Edition.

The new trucks replace 13 used Volvo FHs, with two fleet additions. The company mainly focuses on container haulage, and the new trucks will work five days a week, clocking up roughly 140,000 km per year. Each truck is equipped with additional exterior cameras for added safety and fit up to work in London. (ben)
