Third BAe 146-300QT freighter for British airline
Jota Aviation recently released its third BAe 146-300QT freighter aircraft into service. Since it was acquired in April 2018, the aircraft had been in long-term storage at the airline's London Southend base.
With the recent uptake in demand for cargo flights as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, the decision to put the aircraft back into operation was essential in servicing a market suffering from a lack of available cargo aircraft.
The aircraft underwent extensive maintenance at Jota’s Part 145 approved facility before it was officially released into operation ready for its first shipment of automotive parts bound for Vigo, Spain.
Over the past few months, Jota has been heavily involved in the logistics and air transportation of PPE, high value cargo and postal services. (ah)
