Thai Airways celebrates and expands
Thai Airways is celebrating the 35th anniversary of its arrival in Switzerland. On 4 November 1984 the Southeast Asian airline landed at Zurich airport for the first time, a milestone that was remembered at the airport a few days ago. Together with its customers, Thai Airways duly celebrated the anniversary with its customers yesterday evening, the 14 November 2019.
Meanwhile, the airline’s freight division Thai Cargo has announced that it can consolidate yet more cargo to and from Japan in its winter flight schedule. This is made possible by a new B777 service that offers three weekly connections between the town of Sendai, which lies 300 km north of Tokyo, and Bangkok (Thailand).
In addition to the capital’s two airports NRT and HND, the airline also flies to the other Japanese cities Fukuoka, Nagoya, Osaka and Sapporo. (ah)
