TFI International digests UPS Freight
Montreal-headquartered TFI International has finally closed its previously announced acquisition of UPS Freight, the less-than-truckload (LTL) and dedicated truckload (TL) divisions of US-player United Parcel Service. All regulatory authorities have given their green light.
The unit, which was bought for USD 800 million, will work to 90% under its new brand, “T Force Freight”. Just acquired dedicated TL assets will join TFI’s TL business segment. TFI International is publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange and the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol TFII. (sh)
