Ten new LNG filling stations

Liquid natural gas provider Rolande is taking another step towards fossil-free road transport. The company plans to produce bio-LNG in the Netherlands by 2022.

The company is therefore building a facility on the Energiecampus Leeuwarden, which is intended to produce the fossil-free fuel for heavy goods transport from biology-based raw materials. The new fuel will reduce CO2 emissions by up to 99.8% compared to diesel. The facility is expected to provide around 9,200 t of bio-LNG per year.

Besides the production of bio-LNG, Rolande continues to invest in (Bio)-LNG filling stations. Ten new locations in the Netherlands and Germany are to be opened in 2021. (ben)
