Telematics raises efficiency of pharma transports in Sweden
DB Schenker has started to deploy a telematics solution for mobile temperature monitoring for healthcare and pharmaceutical transports in Sweden. The service provider says the solution lifts the transport chain quality to an even higher level.
Developed by the GS Group, the temperature control solution consists of small and portable units that remain with the goods from start to end of the transport chain.
If the temperature falls below or exceeds a certain value set for the room or medication box, an alarm goes off and a message is sent to both Schenker and all involved subcontractors. (ben)
