Teaming up to enhance airfreight booking
DB Schenker, a global provider of logistics solutions, and American Airlines Cargo have announced an advance in airfreight operations.
The introduction of an application programming interface connection (API), launched on 14 November 2023, marks the next step in digitalising and streamlining airfreight booking processes. The collaboration offers a more streamlined, accurate, and user-friendly process.
Benno Forster, SVP of operations and procurement airfreight, DB Schenker Americas, poiunted out that “the API connection is designed to streamline the booking process, eliminating the need for external platform logins and enabling direct access through DB Schenker’s system. This integration not only simplifies the booking experience but also ensures speed and accuracy, crucial in the fast-paced world of airfreight logistics.” (cj)
