Tarros returns to Spain
The Tarros Group is enhancing its GPS service to meet market demands. The service covers its network from Portugal to Turkey, with ports in Mersin and Lebanon, and will offer a fixed-day weekly schedule with six vessels. This will increase the line’s cargo capacity by over 20% and connect 14 ports.
A new agreement with Insignia Shipping marks the Italian line Tarros’ return to Spain, introducing a direct La Spezia–Barcelona route. According to Tarros this move cuts CO₂ emissions and reduces road traffic by leveraging multimodal transport.
Tarros chief commercial officer Maria Valentina De Bernardi says that the new version of the GPS, along with the return of the company to Barcelona and Mersin, “enables us to expand our commercial offerings.” (js)
