Switch from road to rail cuts CO2 by two thirds

Dalli is taking the next step in its sustainability strategy by switching the majority of deliveries from its Romanian production site to Germany and Belgium from the roads to the railways. It is cooperating with the Austrian full truck-load specialist LKW Walter on the project.

Dalli, one of the largest private European label-makers for household and personal hygiene products, has already reduced its CO2 emissions to one third of its former footprint through a new rail logistics concept.

LKW Walter operates up to eight departures a week for Dalli on the 1,500 km route between Curtici (Romania) and Duisburg and Herne (both Germany). (ben)
