Swiss World Cargo (re)sets new destinations
With flights to Colombo, Sri Lanka, resuming as per today, 31 October 2019, Swiss World Cargo, the airfreight division of Swiss International Air Lines, begins operating new routes for the winter timetable 2019. Like the service resumptions to Phuket, Thailand and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam (3 and 18 November), it will be operated with A340-400.
As from 1 February 2020, a daily B777-300ER will operate on flights to Tokyo (Japan), offering additional tonnage. Flights to Osaka, Japan’s third-largest city will commence on 1 March, serviced by an Airbus A340-300. In the Americas, the winter schedule will offer additional flights to and from Miami (FL, USA). This complements Swiss World Cargo’s daily flights to North America gateways (New York, Newark, Boston, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Montreal, and Chicago).
As Hendrik Falk, head of cargo USA West, South and South America, told ITJ during the Air Cargo Americas in Miami, exports from Cancun, Mexico, are also planned to begin during the winter season. (ah)
