Swiss Post's double strike
Swiss Post has taken over Spedition Gaiser, headquartered in Rielasingen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, as of 1 January 2023. The acquisition includes Gaiser’s Swiss branch in Ramsen, Canton Schaffhausen. Founded in 1964, Gaiser focuses on cross-border transports between Germany and Switzerland.
Also on 1 January 2023, Swiss Post acquired Spedition Nolden from Kerpen-Türnich near Cologne. This company was founded in 1890 and provides pan-European transport services deploying a fleet of around 60 vehicles. With this reinforcement, Swiss Post can expand the portfolio of logistics solutions available for Swiss companies.
Spedition Gaiser employs 58 people at its location in Rielasingen and three people at its location in Ramsen, Switzerland. Spedition Nolden in Kerpen-Türnich has a staff of 50.
Swiss Post will transfer its acquisitions to Bächle Logistics, a transport company based in Villingen-Schwenningen, which it purchased in 2018. (sh)
