Swiss lessor expands customer base
The demands of modern rail logistics in Europe are changing. An increasing number of state-owned operators have followed in the footsteps of a large number of private operators and now rely on versatile six-axle hybrid locomotives.
Thus European Loc Pool (ELP) is expanding its customer base using Euro Dual and Euro 9000 locomotives, produced by Stadler Rail. ELP’s growing list of leasing customers using these modern locomotives now already includes RCG, VPS, Green Cargo, MEG, DB Cargo and Cargo Net.
According to ELP the Euro Dual and Euro 9000 units can handle heavier and longer trains, offering up to 40% higher payloads. They can run on electrified as well as non-electrified lines and also enable last-mile and shunting operations. (ben)
