Swiss forwarder invests in LNG
Krummen Kerzers is investing in liquefied natural gas (LNG) for its heavy cargo services. Already in early summer 2010, the Switzerland-based logistics company intends to expand the LNG project “Goodbye Diesel – hello LNG”, which it initiated with Lidl Switzerland.
To this end, the company intends to put a third fuelling station for LNG into operation in Switzerland. The station will be built in the great area around Egerkingen. In addition, Krummen Kerzers has decided to acquire more LNG trucks, where it can benefit from tax reliefs in Switzerland.
At the beginning of this year, the forwarder added LNG trucks from Volvo to its 110 vehicle fleet. The company specialises in transport services for the food and pharmaceutical sectors and in warehouse logistics. (ben)
