Swiss brewery now delivers beer by e-truck
In Rheinfelden (Switzerland), the brewery Feldschlösschen and the Carlsberg group have taken delivery of the first 26 t vehicle of an order of twenty Renault trucks D Wide Z.E. Carlsberg and Feldschlösschen have decided to carry out their deliveries without CO2 emissions in future.
To this end, electric trucks powered by electricity derived from renewable fuels are to be deployed on the last kilometre and the railways for long-haul transports. Renault Trucks has a complete series of 100% electric trucks ranging from 3.1 to 26 t.
E-trucks emit neither CO2 nor NOx (nitrogen oxide) and do not make a noise. Therefore they can remain in service at all time, even during traffic bans due to excessive air pollution and in inner cities at night. (ben)
