Swedish double strike in the south
Founded in Gothenburg in 2003, Swedish freight forwarder NTEX recently acquired the transport and forwarding company Scanroad in Belgium and shares in the Italian freight company ITX Cargo. It is a further step on a path already taken, since the Swedes acquired Scanroad Sweden and Scanroad France last year.
Scanroad Belgium, which will bear the name of NTEX in the future, transports freight between Belgium and Scandinavia and has a total of 15 tractors.
NTEX is also acquiring 20% of the Italian freight company ITX Cargo, which was founded in 1998 to offer transport services between Italy and Scandinavia.
Based in Milan, the Italian provider employs 50 people. ITX Cargo is a long-standing partner, and the cooperation has now become an active co-ownership. (sh)
