Swedish Club’s 40th anniversary in Greece
The Swedish Club, an office with 18 employees offering expertise in P&I, marine and FD&D, is celebrating the 40th anniversary of the opening of its first international office, established in Piraeus (Greece) in 1980. The centre serves Greece, Italy and the Middle East.
Managing director Lars Rhodin said that “the anniversary is a beacon of light for us in a very challenging year. We have an affinity with the Greek shipping industry’s way of doing business, with an emphasis on long-term relationships and trust.” Five members of the Greek shipping community have seats on the Swedish Club’s board.
Hans Filipsson (pictured), area manager of the team in Piraeus, added that "we may not have been able to celebrate as we'd hoped in 2020, but we're looking forward to once again enjoying the personal contacts we value in 2021." (ah)
