Sustainable e-genset tested in refrigerated transport
SeaCube has partnered with Greensee to launch green and net-zero reefer leases, setting a new sustainability benchmark in refrigerated transport. The collaboration includes the pilot of Thermo King’s electric genset, called ‘e-coolpac’, a zero-emissions battery-powered solution developed together with CMA CGM. It offers up to 105 kWh of power for last-mile transport.
These initiatives aim to cut emissions by 20-30% and improve energy efficiency through advanced telematics and AI-driven analytics. Pilot projects with Pacific International Lines (PIL) and other key players establish baseline metrics to decarbonise operations and improve operational efficiency, advancing the cold chain industry’s transition to net-zero operations.
