Supporting a skyrocketing travel retail market

Bolloré Logistics has launched a new air charter service to support the growth of the travel retail market in the island of Hainan in Southern China. The link will operate from Singapore to the island's capital Haikou via Hong Kong once a week.

Since 2020, offshore duty-free spending has skyrocketed in Haikou, which hosts the world's largest stand-alone duty-free shop. Sun Bo, vice mayor of Haikou city: "The launch of the new air charter service, together with the distribution hub that Bolloré Logistics will build in Haikou, will support Haikou’s strategic development plan to be an international travel retail centre."

The service offers end-to-end monitoring for both dangerous goods (DG) and non-DG. Coupled with the warehousing capabilities and value-added services in Bolloré Logistics’ three hubs, the solution aims to provide brands with the agility their business requires. (ah)
