Success in 2022 and confidence for 2023
Lufthansa Cargo's FY/2022 was characterised by ground breaking investments to expand the freighter fleet. To further increase its long-haul capacity, the carrier is relying on Boeing’s twin-engine aircraft and has ordered three B777Fs with the latest technology and seven B777-8Fs from the next generation of freighters.
A B777F was already delivered in the last financial year and enables frequencies to be raised to high-demand intercontinental destinations such as China and India and to open a new freighter station in Hanoi, Vietnam.
In FY/2022, Lufthansa Cargo achieved a record result for the third time in a row. Sales increased by 22% to EUR 4.6 billion. Overall, sales of 7.2 billion ftk last year were on the same scale as in 2021 (7.2 billion). (pm)
