Stronger focus on timber transports
Delo Group’s affiliate Trans Container and Lesofond have joined forces to develop new strategies for export, import and domestic transports of a wide range of cargo. The companies recently signed an agreement to this effect.
The document provides for the development of multimodal services from China through the ports in Russia’s Far East, utilising the parties’ assets and organising regular export container trains to China. Timber products will be among the key types of cargo to be transported.
Trans Container is now paying greater attention to this segment, and its share in the total volume of shipments increased in 2022, the company said. Trans Container has been cooperating with Lesofond since 2012. (ben)
