Strategic partnership for automated customs processes

Akanea, a French provider of supply chain software solutions, and Informatique 2000, a Geneva-based process automation specialist, have announced a strategic collaboration effort to offer innovative solutions to automate customs processes.

The aim is to simplify and automate cross-border operations between France and Switzerland. By integrating their systems, the partners create an interface that automatically synchronises customs declarations. The process sees a Swiss export declaration automatically converted into a French import declaration, for example. This reduces errors, improves traceability and increases efficiency, according to Akanea managing director Jean-Baptiste Cassagnes (on the left).

Cassagnes pointed out that “our partnership enables companies to offer innovative and efficient solutions for their customs processes.” Olivier Bail, CEO of Informatique 2000, added that “we’re pleased to combine our expertise and develop tailor-made solutions for our customers.”

The partnership is also to be expanded in German-speaking Switzerland in the future in order to meet the growing demand of the market. (ah)
